1 . Tang Seng Khow joined Harpers Trading (M) Sdn Bhd, the appellant company, as being a Grade three or more clerk in or about 5 January 1956. Having been promoted since Grade one particular clerk with effect from 15 October 1976 and at the time of his dismissal he was earning $1, 169 per month with $40 each month as cost of living allowance thus making an overall total of all-in salary of $1, 210 per month. He had been performing his responsibilities of a payroll clerk and was in impose of preparation and repayment of non-executive staff salaries and related matters, operations of car and truck loans and the preparation of Kuala Lumpur lender reconciliation and issuing of cheques.
2 . The corporation by a notification dated 17 December 85, addressed to Tang Seng Khow favored six fees against him and hung him by duty on half pay out from 17 to 21 December 1985. The postponement, interruption was subsequently extended to 31 December 1985. By the same notification Tang Seng Khow was required to show up at a household inquiry on 23 Dec 1985. The six fees are the following:
